i'm just curious seems with all formulas if you supplement cal-mg it provides 2-3% nitrogen from calcium nitrate...., so i don't see the point in using any grow formula....all you should need with any 2 part whether dyna-gro, general hydro....or advanced nutes is their bloom formula + cal-mg you always end up around 5 to 6% nitrogen and don't have to worry about burning to me everytime i use cal-mg with r/o water and a grow formula i end up on the verge of burning any reply would be much appreciated i know the lucas formula already states this ...but i'm saying if you read the nutes analysis for almost all the hydro nutes...it ends up not needing any grow formulas

unless you have extensive...professional...horticultural experience...trying to do the math on scientifically formulated nutrients is probably not the best application of your time if your goal is dank

To me, it sounds like you're getting into too complicated of a growing regimen. Really, if you just follow the directions for the Advanced Nutrients bundles, you'll get the nutrients you need - no need to get all Mr. Wizard on everything.

From my personal experience with AN, it's just best to turn down the nutes by about 25% since that will help you avoid nute burn.

If your plants seem hungry, you could always add more nutrients to the grow, after all.

After a while, you'll get your own grow formula.

My advice is just to stick with the Grow-Micro-Bloom formula and only mess with a few other nutes. Don't want to make things too complicated, you know?

stubborn is getting pissed about nothing you dont' get what i'm saying and how much more clear do i need to be?...if you use R/O water right?...you need cal-mag ok!....and since it has 2% nitrogen usually from calcium nitrate i'm saying you dont need a grow formula because it makes your nitrogen high is all read the bottles man is all i'm saying is this something other people are finding out too?...because it seems when you use cal-mag with any grow formulas and you use the recommended dose you get burn...because eventhough your ec is correct its out of balance is all i'm saying ....
and actually i grow alot of stuff and well i dont need to be a scientist to read the label man i'm here just trying to share info you must own a hydro-store or something sheesh

I recently switched to AN and I must agree, nitrogen in the regime is far to high!
I don't understand why AN recommends using 1 part grow micro bloom, throughout the entire cycle.
Nutrient burn occurs very easily with AN.

I believe advanced nutrients is all hyped up.

I originally was using Technaflora, I used their recipe for several different strains which all grew amazing.
