Advice - First time growing

Hello Everyone,

A few weeks ago I posted on here for some advice and got some excellent advice for my seedlings. Since then my plants have grown at a pretty fast rate. I now have this plant (Picture Attached). I just topped the plant 5 days ago, It seems to be recovering well and I can see the new colas coming out of the top however the leafs seem droopy and are curling at the tips. I have been watering around every 3-4 days and feed once a week.

Thoughts? Are these over watered or under watered?

Notes:

They're in a 1Gallon Smart pot, I am growing with ProMix HP and feeding once a week. They're 24" away from my LED light and its at 100% for almost 2 weeks now.

See the dense low shrub? Your light is too powerful. Raise it or dim it some. Leaves need free space for proper transpiration. Color is very good though.

Hey @hotrodharley, Thanks ! I will lower the light maybe 25% power. Question, are you thinking its growing to densely and not growing tall because the light is to powerful/close?

Is this what would cause the leafs to curl like that?

How often are you watering it? I would give it a wet/dry cycle, and water by the weight of the pot-you want it to lighten up before you water again, so start paying attention to how heavy it is right after you water and then wait until it gets light.

What are you growing in? Is there a fan on her? What are your temps like? Do you Ph your water?

Hey @Rurumo , I have been giving it about 3-4 days between waterings, I have been paying attention to the weight and only watering when they feel light and the top of the soil feels dry.

When you say wet/dry, do you mean leave it dry for a few days?

Hey @Johiem ,

I am growing it in Promix HP
When the lights are on its around 25c, when the light turns off they drop to around 21c.
I PH Water and feed to 6.0
There is a fan on, its indirect (Pointing at the side of grow tent). its set to one and the leafs move slightly from it but not crazy.

I’m guessing that’s part of it. Your immediate area temperature and humidity also in play. Once it starts stretching up you should see leaves in a more normal shape.

Okay cool, I will turn down the light. My other plants are also pretty bushy too. Typically I keep the humidity right now at 55% and temp between 21-26c

They're 35 days old at this point.

The leafs at the bottom of the plant seem very unhealthy too at this point, further pics.

Sounds good! Will do, I turned the light down to 75% from 100%. I will give it 7 days and re elevate :) If I dont see much change within 7 days do you think I could turn down the light again?
I would think you’ll have to raise it. It looks very healthy. It should respond immediately.

Ahhhh, So then should I put it at 100% and just raise it instead?

Its currently sitting around 24" from the top of the plant
Decrease power to at least 75%. I would hit 60%. Save your full power for flower. Vegging cannabis doesn’t require a lot of light.

You want this to stretch some for space inside the foliage.

Looks like overwatering (crinkly almost lettuce looking leaves, thick swollen leaves) and possible Nitrogen toxicity (downward clawing leaves, Dark green color, burnt tips).

Let plants roots almost go dry and water only until a little runoff. I don't think raising your lights is going to fix that issue, the lower leaves are showing the clawing and stress symptoms worse than the top of the plant.

What are you feeding them once a week in promix HP? Pretty sure most guys running that are feeding every watering.
