Advice for led 3x3 please!

Good evening everyone!

As the title suggests.. I need some advice on picking myself a nice LED light for a 3x3 tent set up. I haven’t ordered a tent yet, but seems like the perfect size to start with.
After a bit of reading I got impressed with the DIY led strip build from Ledgardener. Using the Samsung F series gen 3’s. So running five of the SI-B8V521560WW parallel wired to a HLG-320H-48B driver. I would appreciate some feedback on this idea! I was also wondering, since the guide is a couple years old, if there are any new LED strips or builds to consider.
Anyways, any tips or tricks would be immensely appreciated!

Ah, the always present thought of building my own lights, only silenced by my inability to do any kind of electrical work LOL. Building your own lights is always a good path if you know what you're doing, if not you're bound to mess up and waste a couple of bucks. If you dont mind that, I'd suggest you give it a go.
If you do, youre better off going for quality brands like Gavita, HLG, Iluminar, Luxx, yada yada yada and all the ones listed on the sponsor tab here on the forum.

I have two 3x3 tents first time I ran three plants not enough room since I was LST now I run two plants. I'm looking at the marshydro tsw2000 I'm wanting to upgrade from my cheap blurple.

You might want to upgrade to 4x4, if so I'd recommend California LightWorks SolarXtreme 1000 - it's the only light I have in my 4x4x6 tent, and it works for the entire grow. I keep it at the top of the tent, no need to lower it down, it's super bright. Keeps your tent cooler when you keep it up high by your exhaust fan. Plants love it but it's expensive and pretty expensive to run, too. I have one in each of my tents. They're well supported by the company too.

Thanks for the reply! I’ll take a look in to those. New brands for me, so I’ll take a look at the sponsor tab as well.

Good to know! Two plants would be great. I have also looked at that light, but for some reason been attracted to the led strips. I appreciate the response!

On the LedGardener diy builds page, the H-series strips builds use the same diodes in a different arrangement as the F-Series, the H-Series right now at Arrow in 3500K are $1.62 each, you'd need 15 of them for the Ledgardener build so $25 for strips for a 3x3 woot Woot

Check out the Migro Array if you have the money also check out Migro YouTube channel Shane tests lights for most companies and he has some good advice for lights and doesn't just try to push his own products tells the truth about his competitors

Thanks! The Array 4 might be just a little out of reach.. but maybe worth waiting a couple months more saving up. They seem really impressive!

I have a tsw2000 as well. It is nice, but the new fc-e3000 is better. Newer updated bridgelux diodes and bar design. Cheaper than the standard fc-3000 model too.

I ended up going tsw2000 it went on lighting deal on Amazon should get it today but for next light for other tent will chexk that out. Thanks
