I have 10 regular matanuska tundra seeds. It says on the package to veg. to 4-6 nodes. Should this strain be topped?

No freeking clue, though if it's like the original, you're going to need a lot of vertical space. If you don't have it, I would top the plants. BTW, nice to see another 907 resident.

it depends on your space and time frame if your going to top you will want to veg longer and train or screen -s.o.g unless you have to you might want to avoid topping

Instead of topping just fim the main top and some of main side branches, basicly same results just alot less stress. Otherwise is space isnt an issue I would just let em go all natural, you can get some big yields off the tundra. A friend grew some last year and they were huge and he never tops, fims, any kind of stress inducer, hes old school and just shoots for the stars, but its up to you, Im not sure of the specifics of how tundra reacts to topping.

I've got a thunderfuck clone from harborside that's takin' over! it's almost 5' with the 7 gal. bucket. it will go into a 35 gal. garbage can in march, when I put it outside. it oughtta' be done the middle of may...should be a monster by then. I'll hit it with kali, macVsog(nam/lao), malawi vortex(malawinuska mind fuck), and cindy pollen.

Yeah I remember back when the matanuska was referred to as alaskan thunderfuck, i saw first hand how freakin big they can get, they were all easily 12 ft tall some plants were even bigger, but I know those were never topped or fim'd, not even any cuttings, which I was disappointed cause I wanted to throw some indoors for some bigger yielding plants. Hey hillbilly, how big you reckon those plants will end up in 35gl garbage can, Ive always just dug 4-5ft holes to maximize root space, seems like garbage can would be close in comparison...any specific reason you dont use holes...or just because it easier not to dig. Thanks for any info, I just my try a garbage can or two, see how it compares to my holes. Peace, guys

ideally, 4'holes would be better... but if I put it out now, it'll flower, and grow slowly due to low light intensity/hours, and cold. the ideal bucket for pot plants wlould be 4' wide!-at least. those roots prefer to spread out...but that's a space killer indoors(outdoors too when you're tryin' to cram as many plants into a 10'X 20' grow space as possible.) I'll put her out in march under an expedient greenhouse 'til the middle of april; then straight sun for another month. she oughtta' be done by the end of may, ,,,with my malawinuska seeds. it might push a pound, if the 2gal./ounce theory is correct.
