Advice on a 4x4 indoor tent setup

I’m pretty new to growing and I currently have a small 2x4x5 tent with a 300W LED light and I’m looking to upgrade. I’m looking for some advice on setting up a new grow tent. All I know is that I want it to be a 4x4 tent but not sure what type of lights, what size lights, and all the other things I will need. I’m ultimately planning on growing 4 plants at a time.

I don’t want to spend thousands for the top of the line stuff but I’m cool with spending money on things that really matter and that I won’t have to upgrade again (at least for a while).

I know theres no right answer and will be many different opinions but any advice will help. Thanks everyone for your help.

I just ordered a meijiu 650w light off of alibaba for $800. It has not been delivered yet but its the perfect size for a 4x4

I run a 4x4 tent with a 1000 watt led, solid buds to the edge of the tent.

I agree the meijiu 650w would probably be perfect for the space

I picked up an hlg 550 v2 rspec for $699 and it’s damn good. only because they are replacing the 550s with the new 650s, so do your shopping you will find some good deals on hlg

I'm in the same boat, setting up a new 4x4, torn between the quantum board leds and the 630 CMH. Well, not really torn anymore. I'm going with the CMH for two reasons, 1. I've seen the phillips bulbs in action at a friends house, and 2. I will pay less for one. I'm just not comfortable ordering from alibaba...so I was looking at the HLG stuff, which is awesome! But it makes me queasy to think of shelling out all that cash for something I haven't seen up close. Looking forward to what other people recommend in this thread!

i also run 630w cmh with phillips 3100k and they work very nicely

Upgrades and expansions are always fun.
Be sure to factor in new tent height as well as environmentals. Temp and Rh management.

Build your own LEDs seriously. Little bit of research and it's a piece of cake. You will build top top lights for a fraction of the cost. Message me if you want any help i built similar to these in the link but slightly better and easier set up. Feel free to hmu I'll show you exactly the part numbers and everything I brought to build two fixtures that aaaaabsolulty crush my 4x4
