Morning/Afternoon Everyone,
This may be a long post since I am going to get kinda detailed on my plans and intentions. Please bare with me and reply with any tips as you see them.
I am currently 1/2 way though my 2nd auto grow. They are in flowering stage doing well. 1st grow only 1 of 6 made it to the finish line, but the one was excellent quality. This time I have 5 plants in air-pots and all are going strong.
My next project is to make a continuous grow. This is a bigger leap then what I am currently doing, so I wanted to lay out the details and see where my flaws are or advice when I still have gaps due to inexperience.
I plan on having 2 mother plants in 1 mother tent (http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Grow-Tent---Mother-Keeper-51.5-x-22.5-x-48.5---Silver-Lined), but I have not bought it yet. My choices have come down to White Widow (since that was my first successful grow) and Strawberry Cough (since its a fruity favorite and hard to get). These will be kept in 3 gallon superroots air-pots. Using a 4 foot 4 light T5 with Veg bulbs on 18/6 light cycle.
Then I will use one of the tents that I currently own (19W x 35D x 63H) and use this cloner (http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-8-Site-Cloner-Bucket) to get 6 clones going. Lighting will be 4 foot 4 light T5 with Veg bulbs again on 18/6 cycle.
When the clones are ready, I will remove the cloner bucket and place them into a DIY Ebb & Flow system. This is the basis of my system:
Though mine will fit six 7.5 square pots in the top part and it will perfectly fit into Grow/Clone tent. Since its the same tent, it will have the same lighting and light cycle.
When they get about 1.5 - 2 feet tall, I will move them into a bigger tent (4 feet x 4 feet x 79 inches).
Here is where I have a few holes in my plan. I am stuck between removing just the square pots and place them into another Ebb & Flow setup (same setup) in the large tent or just move the whole thing into new tent. Not sure of pros/cons of either option.
The tent can handle 6 of these Ebb & Flow system and still have some room, but accessing the back system would be hassle. I plan on keeping only 4 total systems (6 plants each, total 24 plants) maximum. I may stick with only 3. My intent is to have 1 harvest a month, roughly.
Now the other holes I have in my plan:
My goals are:
That is the basic idea that I have. This will be my first venture from Auto to using Photo-period seeds. I am still learning, but willing to apply it what I know and learn from those willing to give helpful advice.
Thanks in advance.

Now the other holes I have in my plan:
- Since I am doing White Widow and Strawberry Cough, will I have issue with tastes crossing between the 2 while in the bloom (big) tent? Each Ebb & Flow with be 1 strain only, but there will be 3-4 ebb & flow in there at any 1 time. Will the White Widow get some strawberry scent/smell?
- Since I am using only 1 tent to bloom plants of different ages, will I need to use 1 light source per ebb & flow or will 1 very good light work as long as all the ebb & flows fit under the lighting?
My goals are:
- Harvest one ebb & flow every 30-45 days, once 3-4 ebb & flows are in the bloom tent.
- Get anywhere from 1-2 oz per plant.
- Continue to rotate ebb & flows out monthly as clones are ready and open spot in bloom tent.
That is the basic idea that I have. This will be my first venture from Auto to using Photo-period seeds. I am still learning, but willing to apply it what I know and learn from those willing to give helpful advice.
