Two identical plants (silver haze), one very healthy and one dying quickly. The only difference between the two is that I added 2x as much blood/bone meal to the healthy plants soil mix compared to the dying one.
First thought to be over-watering (so waited 1.5 weeks till top 3in soil was dry then watered with light veg. nutes, epsom salt, humic acid, H2O2, and some white vinegar to lower the ph to 6.0). Now the lower leaves are rapidly turning yellow (pale green), and wilting is getting more severe.
I have my thoughts: 1) Started seedling in too big of pot with 2:1 soil to verm/perl. therefore roots aren't absorbing enough water and moisture is being held in the vermiculite and perlite, hence "over-watering".
2) The "healthy" one is male (even though it was a guaranteed feminized), that's why hes outliving the female weak plant
The weird thing is when i grew these same seeds in MG moisture control soil a couple months ago they veg'd very quick and produced excellent buds.
Assuming my soil mix is the problem, could someone steer me in the correct direction for next time I mix my own soil (see below). Yes I gave my plants names.
