Aero cloner: is root gel really required?

Got an EZ Clone machine, and was wondering: Is root gel really needed?

Seems like the water spray would wash it off pretty quickly, AND the gel would contribute to slime growth.

Thoughts?
 
No it's not needed in an aero cloner.

What did you accomplish today?

today I tried to take a few pics of the Hummingbirds on the farm. Damn they are quick little suckers. These are some of the best shots... :cool: Hummingbirds are highly entertaining.

The recipe to mix the pool shock is around too, if you want it. I had 100% success the last time I cloned using the pool shock method.
