I don't use one with my cloner, I find I get roots faster without the cloner. I don't know if it's a fact but I think keeping the dome off forces the root to grow and get some water.
It depends on the humidity of the air in the room houing the aerocloner. If there is no aeration fan then unless you live smmewhere dry like the Soy uthwest or southern California you can often do without a dome or can get by with just a few days with the dome. I use no dome and I only keep my room air humidity at 40%. The humidity righ at the clones area is likely about 10% to 15% higher due to the aero misters. I use no exhaust fans and have no circualtion fans blowing in the room with the clone cuttings. It is quite easy to test how they respond without the dome. The response if negative will be within a few hours with the lights shining. If they start drooping or curling just mist them with small amount of water and put the dome back on.
