Aerogarden Growing problems

My aerogarden delux sprouted two seeds... but they havent grown much at all and it been 2 weeks already. It got the first set of round leafs just barely the next set of leafs. the plants are only 1/4 inch tall. I must be doing something wrong. I was messing around with the plants and it turns out that they didnt even have any roots. they where just growing ontop of the spong pod. after taking the bio domes off they dried up and died. Time to start over. this is gonna be my third time trying can anyone give me some advice on doing this right and what i might have been doing wrong b4

you have to cut the grow sponge in half lengthwise, long enough so when you plant it you can sorta pinch the taproot in the cut, it should be able to figure out the rest from there

your best bet is to germ the seeds in papper towels then when u got a tap root about --- long cut a slit down your spongue and face the tap root down
