Aerogarden Q's (Help is appreciated)

just purchased aerogarden and was planning on adding 4-7'' airstone into res. Do i use airstones instead of the aerogarden pump (leaving the aerogarden base unplugged) or do i use both at the same time?

i dont have an actual "aerogarden" but i grow aeroponically and i use 1, 6 inch airstone for my little reservoir and 2, 6 inchers in my bigger reservoirs. i dont know if too many is a bad thing but they seem to love the 2...

You can use an airstone in ADDITION to the pump in the Aerogarden. The pump just runs water over your seedings/clones like a bubbleponics system. But the airstone adds oxygen to the water the pump is circulating.
