Aerogarden question

I just got my aerogarden and i have some low ryder number 2's... My question:

To plant the marijuana seeds do i have to buy the special kit? Or can i just grab the basil seed sponge that comes with the kit, throw away the seeds and put my special seeds in?

I seen on ebay for about 36 bucks they have a self grower kit to grow your own seeds, wouldnt throwing away the basil and other herb seeds and putting in marijane seeds work just as well?

yeah you can do that. just make sure you germinate the seeds first before putting them into the aerogarden.

i just used cups for my AG. worked fine till i had to transplant them into bigger pots

Yes be sure to germinate them before you put them into the Aerogarden. Also a few tips for the Aerogarden, you'll need a Aquarium pump w/ airstone(approx. 6inch one). And it helps to flush the res out every week to 2 weeks w/ clean fresh water. GL with the aerograden and it's a blast to watch'em grow!

Also be sure to cover any spare holes you arn't using as to keep as much light out of the res' as possible. Socks or taped cardboard works just fine.
