Aerogarden Yield Estimate?

Hi guys

Sorry this has been posted loads of times before but i need some advice on my new aerogrow system i plan to buy.

Im going to get the deluxe model with 2x 28w bulbs and then complement that with 2 more 26w bulbs. (total of about 5000+ lumens)

Id place that in a small mylar lined grow room (1m high x 80 cm wide and 60 cm deep) with fan and airvents

Id use micro bloom nutrients and probably top the plant at 2nd or 3rd node to make the branches spread out more (good idea or not?)

For 1 lowryder x AK47 plant how much do you think i could yield?

Is an ounce pushing it?

P.S I know aerogarden are crap compared to proper system but this is the only option for my circumstances

Forgot to mention......Will 5000 lumens enough for a 20 inch high plant?

Ive grown once before with 2 x 125w CFL and got about 2 oz off one plant and that was much taller.

Worth a gamble though, if it fails ill give it to my mum as a birthday present!

Are you paying for the aerogarden? Even if space is an issue you can build your own for much less and it would be more effective

Yeah i plan to buy one, about £150 in total (expensive i know) but theyre so much more innocent and transportable than a full blown grow room.

Plus i like cooking so can use it for herbs if the weed operation fails

I'm not trying to hear this "my only option" bullshit..... Get a bucket and and pump for $15 and take it seriously. You could get better yields in soil than an AG.

If you must get an AG find a female and clone her then fill up all the spaces with cuts. Go straight to 12/12 and you might be able to harvest a 1/4 lb.

What other light set-up would work then?

If was thinking 100w HID light? Would that need a ballast and reflector? Or can you just plug them into a normal table lamp?

There's a thread around here about a 150w HPS for $20. I haven't checked it out but it sounds promising.
