aerogarden

well since nobody wants to read my other post about the aerogarden, i guess i am making this one. i have started growing and i am one week into it. plants are about an inch tall. and i want to flower them at about 10 inches? is this alright, will i beable to prune them enough by then making enough nodes? thanks in advance

explain this to me please. u bought this aerogarden which uses hydroponic technology very cool.....now ur plant is gonna get 10 inches so less then a foot tall n u want to start flowering????????? how much buds will this dude yield if he flowers a 10 inch tall plant a fucking gram?????? thats a waste of fucking time dude seriously, how high can the plant go before the aerogarden light is raised to maximum capacity?? my advice to you is to grow ur plant until it reaches max capacity at a 23/1 hour light level then go to a 12/ 12 when the light cant go any taller, and in between every dark cycle put in a hour of light to make the plant female, hopefully u get at least a freakin ounce that way, but still i doubt it, that other kids plant was fucking so tiny after 5 weeks and it was basically not even a female lol these amatuers crack me up weed is as simple as a tomato for real

VAndwalle flower at 2 weeks maybe 3....I waited 4 weeks and wished I started sooner. Trust me, If youve been giving it nutes and checking the ph youll be fine....

Flower when you have at least 3-4 sets of leaves

Yea I cant say for sure about the tablets that it comes with.....

I mean I did use them for the first 4 weeks (a total of four tablets) They seemed to be working fine....

Then I bought the fox farm line...

You could probobly use them alone and still get bud...

I do know that each Seed kit's tablets are made to have nutrients specific to that kit (tomato,flowers.salad greens, etc...), and they do contain a very nice selection of micronutrients

As for which one would have the best combination of nutrients for growing pot, I dont have the slightest idea, perhaps it could be the Flowers(Cascading Petunias, I think) tablets.

But I strongly suggest using fox farm, its obvious it was made for weed just by everything about the company and the product and its design....

Anyways So you have an aerogarden Sonny? Have you tried growing pot in it before? If so you must post your results.....

Because I'm doing this blindly and trying to record the process and results for future users...

No I haven't tried to grow any I now have a job where I will be tested. But when I retire in about 4 years I will be on my own again. I am trying to gather as much information as possable to be ready

I want to invest in a aerogrow but i need to know if it really works, and if so, do i need to upgrade the lighting. At what else instructions do i need to know?

I started with some Canadian seeds on April 1. My AG came with tomato seeds and the nutrients for tomatos. I removed the tomato seeds and replaced them with the Canada ak47 seeds. It took all my will power but I only used the three cups and only put one seed in each cup.
Questions-- Does anyone know what plat of all the diff yypes it would be best to set the AG For. I set mine for Herbs (instead of Tomatos, strawberrys, flowers etc). It seemed that the herbs would be closest in requirements to the seeds I planted. I would like to also uses the spacer holes to start more seedlings. Has anyone out there done that?
Any other suggestions?

JUST BOUGHT A TURBO GARDEN, 14 PLANT SITES........INTO MY THIRD WEEK AND HOLY SHIT!!!! I AM DOING A 24 HR LIGHT UNTIL THE PLANTS GET TO HALF THE SIZE THAT I WANT THEM, THEN PUT THEM ON A 12/12 LIGHT CYCLE. THIS IS A COMPLETE SYSTEM WITH 25 GAL RESEVOIR, 14 SITES,SUBMERSIBLE PUMP AND A 400 WATT GROW LIGHT. ALL OF MY SUPPLEMNTS ARE ALL OF ORGANIC LIQUID{A LITTLE ON THE PRICIE SIDE BUT WILL PAY OFF!!!!!!!!!!} THE REASON WHY I SAID I WILL CHANGE THE LIGHT CYCLE WHEN PLANTS ARE HALF THE HEIGHT I DESIRE IS BECAUSE THEY WILL ACTUALLY DOUBLE IN HEIGHT WHEN IN THE FLOWERING STAGES SO GET READY TO DO FREQUENT LIGHT ADJUSTMENTS, GOOD LUCK ANYWAY WOULD LOVE TO SEE AND SHOW PLANT PICS AND OR ADVICE.......HAPPY GROWIN'

hey guys and gals..............sorry i've been away so long, had a few mis haps and FINALLY resolved them.

MY SYS. IS CALLED THE TURBO GARDEN AERO, IT HAS FOURTEEN SITES, A 25 GAL. RES. SUBMERSIBLE PUMP, CAME WITH ALL THE BASKETS WHICH ARE 4" AND THE GROWING MEDIUM HYDROTON{OR SOMETHING LIK THAT}WHICH IS HEAT TREATED TERRA COTTA BALLS I GUESS ABOUT MED. SIZE.......................I ALSO ADDED THE FOLLOWING, A SIMPLE AQURIUM AIR PUMPWITH A 5" BUBBLE DISK , A CYCLE TIMER FOR MY WATER PUMP WHICH AT THE TIME I AM RUNNING ON 5 MINUTES ON 20 MINUTES OFF, MAY POSSIBLY NEED ADJUSTING ACCORDING TO PLANT REQUIREMENT..........ALSO I HAVE A 400W MH BULB IN BALLAST{ HEAVY LITTLE BUGGER} HANGING FROM CENTER BEAM IN MY BASEMENT USING SOME JACK CHAIN AND HOOKS. I AM RUNNING TURBO GARDEN AERO WITH A 400W MH BULB 24 HOURS WITH MY WATER PUMP RUNNING ON A 5 MIN ON AND 20 MIN OFF, ALSO RUNNING AN AIR PUMP WITH A 5" AIR DISK I MADE A FEW MISTAKES BUT IT IS ALL ABOUT TRAIL AND ERROR............I'M GETTING BETTER, CAUSE MY SHITS LOOKIN PRETTY GOOD WITH SOME GREAT ADVISE FROM THIS SITE!!! What's up shorty.......don't know if you are still around or not but this looks like a really fucking old post but anyway your reply to this guy was spot-on. Question is this.......Just started with Aerogarden and have 2 about 10 inches hight and I am running 24 straight on the lights.........Have done it outside with mediocore success but would really like to know about spotting females, how light affects sex......Dude, can you help me out? I hope you get this because you seem to have a wealth of knowledge about this but I am concerned as these things are getting close to flowering. Thanks bro. C-dog.............

If you want to go higher with you arogarden put a pcv valve that you use for plumbing to give it more lift once it out grows the unit plus use a xbox power cord to reach further you will need to check the lighting yourself. 2months 18 hrs 2months 12hrs set a tomatos.

Sure would like to know how this has worked out for folks because I am doing it. I'm a new medical user and grower (well, experienced at using in the past, and experienced growing everything else) but no hydroponic type experience. The AeroGarden will take some tinkering with the light cycle but the new taller model may squeak me by until I can do outdoor in summer - Someone wondered which nutes would be best and I would think tomato. But am buying FoxFarm and going that route. Seeds are sprouting slowly tho I soaked overnight. I will take photos through the entire venture and post in one of the AeroGarden threads - not sure if this is the best one, though as nothing recent. Wish me luck - I have a lot to learn (have Cervantes Bible so could be worse - started with Skunk #1, Orange Bud and a seed each of Afghani and Red Shiva (bedtime stuff).

can u use any hydroponic nutreint?..... Can u grow more then 1 plant in each of the 6 pods?

power consumption,i dont pay the bill,anything obvious?
nutrients,can i go home made organic?,not into drowning my smoke in artificial fert
i dont smoke alot so 1 ounce a month is probably plenty
anyone know the australian distributor?
