Hey ent931. Do feed your plants water at all during vegging and flowering? Or just straight nutes till the last 2 weeks like RobMar does?
i mix the nutes with the ph'd water until the last two weeks which i just used ph'd water no nutes at all

and to wat robmarr said
plz do not cut the roots thats not a good idea

I think you misunderstood me CANNA. I have a 25 gallon reservoir that is ph'd water. I add my nute mix to the reservoir a little at a time until my desired PPM is reached. I wouldn't recommend cutting the roots either. Someone told me it was ok. I dont think it is. Some people will give you bunk info to sabotage. Like I said, this is my first aero run, I'm no expert. Take my advice or leave it....its free.

I'll take your free advice Rob & ent, it's been the best advice so far. Ya...no way, I'll never cut the roots. Ok, now I gotta get my stuff set up. What kind of pumps do u guyz use? How many gpm is it? If u guyz have any links to any good aeroponic setups, throw it towards the aero apprentice here. Once again guyz...thanx! Appreciate it.

i just have a regular air pump from walmart the ones u use for a fish tank and either a 5gallon or 10 gallon pump will do and im currently using the aerogarden but im fixin to transfer them to a bigger reservoir so i can more bud out of my current grow but since its ur first grow an aerogarden wouldnt be a bad thing to start with and the cheapest aerogarden will do

Oh ok, i'm gonna go a little big ent, so I dont think an aero garden will work. But maybe i'll try that pump at first anyway just to see how it works. What kind of timers do u use for your pumps?

i have my air pump on 24/7 to keep plants oxygenated all da time and if u think aerogarden is too small then i suggest bubbleponics

I run 4 small oxygen stones 24/7 I run a 1900 GPH inline pump. I'm not a fan of submersibles because they heat up the reservoir. I installed a bypass on my pump to control the pressure. I went big on the pump so I could add sites as needed. I have plenty of power. I also run an agitator to keep the water moving in the reservoir.

hmmm...very interesting. Ya i've seen some bubble ponics ent, and it looks like alot more work. Ya Rob, I think maybe I'll go with a bigger pump. A bypass for pressure eh? how did u do that that?

you can see where I put a ball valve in to return water back to reservoir. Right now its about half and half and I have plenty of pressure. The other valve inline with the filter is used to prime the pump when reservoir is changed. Never run your pump dry.

damn u have some pretty high tech shit too much for me but hey its different for everyone
i suggest a simple timer from walmart will do the trick too

Sick Rob...sick...u sound like your a plumber. So your basically throttling your ball valve to get your pressure and your using that filter to prime the pump. U dont need some kind of checkvalve to hold that water there for it to be primed? Co2 controller hey. So is a Co2 controller useless if your bringing air from outisde?

I run an 8" intake and an 8" exhaust fan to swap the air in my room every hour. I make co2 with a burner that burns natural gas. All I have to do is come in and check the water levels and the brain does the rest. If you do co2 you only want the levels high during the day. at night co2 does no good. wont hurt but its a waste.

Yes I use the ball valve as a throttle.

looks good rob......ust a suggestion if u cut the roots u will make a bonzi plant.....never ever cut the roots its will stunt the plant totally.....how r u makeing the co2 off your heater in the basement? u running a pipe off of it? whats the dilly......i buy my co2 were im at 10 bucks for a refill on a 25 pound tank but id rather save the money....

lol u crazy.....good stuff though
tellin ya bro...that co2 is like roids. My buds are bigger than most buds I see on the street and in the clubs and they only been flowering for 3 weeks. I keep my co2 level at around 1500 with 100ppm deadpan during the light cycle

Yo Rob! that looks sick. Where would I get that CO2 maker if i went to a store? I want GIGANTIC buds! haha...
any hydro store should have one. If not they can order one. I have a 10 burner but you can get smaller or bigger depending on the size of your room
