this is just to anyone that has tried to build one of those EZ cloner style thangs in one of those target totes.

i tried this but it leaks where the lid seals.

so to fix this problem i used a bike tire tube as a gasket.

sliced it down the middle long ways and held it in place with duct tape.

works great.

just thought i would throw that one out there in case anyone was having a similar problem.

I used weather stripping, worked great and I didn't have to mcguyver it
Weren't you just talking about getting pre made lights for convenience?
Lol you should practice what you preach man ;-)
I would check out weather stripping if you run into any problems
I wouldn't use duct tape in my system as I wouldn't want it to mess with the pH

ya i was talking about premade convenience lights, but thats not on the same level as putting a strip of duct tape on the outside of the tote to hold a piece of rubber in place lol

the hardware store was closed when i did this, but weather stripping did come to mind first. this was just what was readily available to me at 11pm where i live.

thanks for busting my balls tom:bigjoint:

I like the idea, but would have asked the same question about corner leaks because that where mine likes to drip. I use different tubs than you - I'm using a Sterlite (?) tubs and it looks like you're using Rubbermaid? I had to go with weatherstripping and small C-clamps to stop the leaks. Removing clamps for maintenance is a pain so I may try re-doing it since it only costs a few bucks for a new tub.
