ok, i had to stall on flowering because of problems getting my tent sent to me and that set me back two weeks... i was bummed...
my plants were vegging under this 2 foot fluorescent light while waiting for the grow tent Compact T5 FLUORESCENT GROW LIGHT Fluorex 2 TEK 400 hps - eBay (item 150293977482 end time Sep-29-08 13:00:00 PDT)
well when the tent came last week i got the fan, exhaust and a new 250w hps all set up, dealt with high temp and humidity problems but got everything under control now. i prepared to finally begin 12/12 cycle saturday (i have a bubble system with 10 gallon res: so i drained the res and scrubbed it, refilled and added gh blooming nutes, added advanced nutrients voodoo juice for the first time, and switched them to 12/12 !
they were about 12 inches tall saturday and they have shot up to 15 inches already! its gotta be the overall combination of the new light, fresh blooming nutes (added almost a full tsp per gallon this time, thats the most nutes i have given them yet while they were vegging), or the voodoo juice (less than 1fl ounce per gallon).
my problem is that i am worried now that my plants may outgrow my 63 inch high tent... my hps is 7 inches deep total. my res is 5 inches tall. so that would leave me with 49 inches of total available space and i know i need space between the canopy and the light... so i basically have maybe 43 inches of actual grow space in my 32" x 32" x 63" tent...
i have not determined sex of the plants yet, so i may weed out the males in the next week and that may end up being the tallest ones. but at the rate they are all growing (12-15 inches tall and a few with stalks like sharpie markers) i am worried about my available space. and i haven't even started adding C02 yet...
any advice or words of wisdom would be great. this is my first grow with such a great tent and all and i want to make sure i am doing everything right!
