Good evening, I've recently moved out into the country, and thought it would be a terrible waste to leave all that wilderness untamed. I've found a perfect spot, on a hill, allowing good drainage and sun all day. Its about a mile from my house, and I can see the area from my garden, and in 4 weeks, not 1 person has been up there. I'm growing ten small Autos's, and rather than have a garden, I am gonna spread them across a half sq mile, dotted around some larger bushes, so as not to be noticed
Rather then plant them n the soil, which seems OK to be fair, i'm gonna transplant them into 3 litre pots, full of a good soil (had Plagron Bat Mix recommended) and perlite, and then plant the whole lot, and cover with a little natural dirt. I imagine this will keep the main part of the root ball in the good soil, with room for expansion out of the drain holes. The Blue Mystic auto's from NIrvana, should only grow 18-24" and are claimed 8 weeks, seed to harvest, but i'm guessing 10 weeks.
Never grown with auto's so not sure when to transplant them outdoors. I've heard that these start to flower after about 3 weeks, so I guess it is best to put them out after 2 weeks (after putting them outside for an hour or more each day, for the second week)
If anyone can see any potential problems, please let me know, Also, any advice on bug control would be great. The area is pretty meadow like, so I'm hoping there will be a good little ecosystem going on, with plenty of bees and spiders eating the nasties.
The little seedlings are about 1 week above soil, and I know they have a little stretch, but seem to be handling it OK, and will be buried deep when I replant them. Ignore the other 2, they are being vegged for a small tent grow.
