"After harvest let them dry and then put them in a jar for 6 wks".is that true?

my friend said after you harvest your plant let them dry in a room with a fan on them and then put them in a jar and let the buds sit there for atleast 5-6 weeks...he said the longer they sit the better they are....Is that true??

It's called curing. Plenty of threads throughout here on drying and curing, if done properly it can really bring out the taste of your bud.

oh okay so when you harvest how long do you keep your buds in a jar for?

You can keep them in there as long as you'd like. Just make sure that you let the buds dry out enough, you put them in too early then you can get mold on your buds and then a lot of Make sure they are air tight jars as well.

Some people cure for months on end, some people cure for a week or less.

It's basicly a personal preference with regards to taste, effect etc.

However, the longer you cure, the better taste and aroma is achieved.


I woul recommend curing for a month or so, just with some of your stash, so you can try the difference with the uncured and the cured weed.
That way you can also trace yourself onto your own preference
