So I have searched alot of posts regarding the correct Agsil and CalMag doses per gallon of RO water but see some conflicts with what I am supposed to set each at.
I read on buil a soil website that the dosage for Agsil dry is 1/2 tsp per gallon but when I do my base water ppm is 300+. Is this correct? I am using it just for buffering.
On CalMag I read ppm should come out to 100 to 150 ppm. I only add 2 ml per gal. and it comes out to 130 to 140ppm.
Yet I have read where a number of members use 4 ml per gallon. When I tried that much I was getting a ppm around 300+.
Sure could use some clarification.
Right now I am using potassium bicarbonate for buffering and it works fine. Got some Agsil in yesterday because I heard it is better for buffering because it adds silica too.
