Geeze, what documentaries have you been watching? I'm trending towards the extinction theory. All that swimming without food means starvation, what don't you get about that. Their numbers have not tripled, that is an outright lie propagated by Fox News.
At the most recent meeting of the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group (Copenhagen, 2009), scientists reported that of the 19 subpopulations of polar bears, eight are declining, three are stable, one is increasing, and seven have insufficient data on which to base a decision. (The number of declining populations has increased from five at the group's 2005 meeting.)

Some members of the press take advantage of the complexity by stating that "polar bears are not in trouble—their numbers have doubled since the 1960s." That's a disingenuous statement, of course. It is true that polar bear populations rebounded after over-hunting was restricted, but that situation has nothing to do with the threat polar bears now face: the loss of the sea ice habitat essential to their survival.

Agreed, good post. Co2 is good for plants, some people add multiple times the normal content of Co2 into their grow rooms, it helps the plants grow. I say no tax on Co2, maybe we should let people pay taxes on it that want to though.

CO2 is a greenhouse effect gas. The most prolific as shown on the chart. It is mainly man produced.

Greenhouse gases naturally blanket the Earth and keep it about 33 degrees Celsius warmer than it would be without these gases in the atmosphere. This is called the �Greenhouse Effect�. Med. I don't think there needs to be a solution, because I don't think that Co2 is a problem. Polution and waste is bad IMO, however, I don't think the focus should be on Co2. There are many more environmental issues, not global warming, but things that hurt the environment. The worst environmental situations occur overseas.
