Ak-49 closet grow: Help needed

Hi guys,

I'm completely new to the concept of forums but here goes;

I recently started growing a plant in a hydroponic ebb and flow system (I had two, but due to severe complications caused by an insecure fan fixture, the second is, sadly, no longer with us). The water used is of pH 5.9. I am using 50 ml part A/part B nutrients in my 50 litre tank and the system floods for 1 min every 3 hours. I am using a 150W minimax with a MH bulb, set to 18/6. The plant has also started to smell a bit in the past 2/3 days. The plant is also consistently ventilated by two small clip on fans. I've had a big problem with heat though, with the closet coming in at around 23° with the light off and 30° with the light on at the end of the 18 hour 'on' period.

The photos below show day 26 of growth. In short, in the opinions of the pros, how does it look so far? If there's anything i'm doing wrong or any tips anyone has to share, I'd be much appreciative.

Toke on gentleman and thanks very much for your time,

Looks FINE,,,keep on track. I would suggest a "light blocker" cover over the Growdan cube you started it in to minimize the algae growth that will pop up there......cut a piece of black plastic put a hole on the center for the stem and cut a slot to it. place the "skirt" around the base of the stem to cover that starter media and you're golden.

They look great. Looked like there may have been a touch of nute burn on that last pic, or a trick of the light. Cheers.
