Hello everyone !

I decided to drift away from my beloved pineapple express and went for ak48, but they seem to be slow starters, 2 days in a cup of water and a day and a half in soil but no signs of them yet ?

Has anyone had any experience with ak48's were they slow to start and how did things end up ?

Thanks for your time !

Hey furious,

Are you referring to your germination method when you say "2 days in a cup of water and a day and a half in soil but no signs of them yet"?

Germination can take up to a week, and you want to make sure you see a strong taproot before planting directly in soil. There are many different methods for germination, but one of the most successful methods is to place your seeds in a cup of room temperature water, sink the seeds to the bottom of the cup, and let them sit for 14- 18 hours. Then pour the cup of water with the seeds over a few pieces of stacked paper towel. Gently separate the seeds so they all have their own space, then fold the paper towel over. Keep the paper towel moist, do NOT let it dry out. Viable seeds will crack open and show their tap root between 2 - 7 days. Once taproot is 3/4 of an inch, plant root down in medium.

Did you have a strong tap root when you planted them in soil?

Of the bulk of what attitude seeds offered the only one I've grown that I found no use for was AK 48. All around it was fail for me from seed to finish the worst I grew and the worst I sampled. I grew the remainder of the pack and same thing.

I hope yours is more better than mine
