So I think I got my quote, showed up as an inquiry... Jerry thinks I am in the USA but I am in Canada not sure if it will make a difference but I asked for a price quote for 5 COBs ... $250 seems a little over the top expensive no?

[paste:font size="4"]CREE CXB3590, original Cree COB led, 3000K/3500K/4000K/5000K/6500K

Product Price:US $ 250.00

I am not sure where I am supposed to tell what kelvin I want. Should I just proceed with the order? and which driver will work best?

THANKS

oh I see there was a message in my inbox... first time using alibaba. Jerry did send me a note saying the 3500k are in stock...basically, is $250 a bit steep?

you need to tell him exactly what part number you want and confirm pricing and shipping charges.
look at the cree datasheet for the 3590, for the different Bin\part numbers

THANKS PurpleBuz!

which driver do you recommend? I think the last one?
HLG-120H-C700(B)
HLG-120H-C1050(B)
HLG-120H-C1400(B)
HLG-185H-C700(B)
HLG-185H-C1050(B)
HLG-185H-C1400(B)

Also I cant really read the COB part number from the picture on their website... it looks like this
CXB3590-0000-000R0HCD35H , basically, CXB3590 CD 36v 3500k

Please stop me if this is not the right COB, I dont want to spend a lot of money on not the best light. Thanks.

the hlg-185h-c1400 will give you the most bang for your buck as long as fully fill it out with cobs (sum of Vf close to driver max Voltage at 1400ma).

if you want more efficiency then run at a lower current, HLG-185H-C700(B) or HLG-185H-C1050(B), but you will get less total light.

if you don't want to install a pot dimmer, get the A version it has a built in dimmer.

I would tell jerry in email which bin/part number you want and confirm when he gives you a final quote.

I paid $666 shipped for a doz 3590's from cutter & that was the kit = cob , holder , reflector , thermal pad
there was a discount but also a handling fee they offer free shipping but that's not covered on any +$$ placed order
I paid with paypal & you get the higher cost shipping as they have to track it with paypal (buyer protection condition )
big buy from a unknown (to me ) Vendor in another country / paypal everytime

Thanks fastslappy it give sme a good idea for price... that was in US$? because it means $950 CAD, OUTCH!!! How much power are you going to run through them... I can see myself spending that kind of dough if I can run them at like 80-90watts per COB ... but if I have to run them at 50watts per cob, takes me down to $1000 for 600watts not including drivers fans and heatsinks.... hmmm

I gotta look long so i'm doing 700 & run at 50% I replacing leds now soo I gotta save power I'd rather place $$ into hardware that's get the % of efficiency I want

Bonjour
If you want to run your cob hard you should aim some Vero29!
But cxb3590 @1400mA are really nice for all purpose!
Vegg and bloom!
But @1750mA they are still at 50% efficiency so still really good!
But you should definitely try it @50w!...it worth it!
666$ was with reflector and pads...I guess it is 43/44 $ in cutter with 15/20 $ shipping and 45 $ in kb with 30 $ shipping!
But if you take drivers from kb at the same time it will be 50 $ shipping...you should take holders and cheap kb reflector!

You should pay 1100$ for everything...
@SupraSPL paid 350 $ to make a 200w panel why you would pay more?
Someone should have the good site to go to save $$$
I hope you will enjoy soon the pleasure of cob growing!
