From what I've read, bag seed can grow into some awesome plants. Just go to the journal section and search for bag seed grows

you might not get as good a germination rate with 'em, but the ones that germinate should grow fine! Do you know what strain the bud is?? well,.. at least if ya found the seeds in your bud you'll know how good the smoke will be.

It's a mystery, you'll never know what strain it is, but with a lot of experience, you could relate it to an existing strain by taste, look...

All strains were bagseed at one point and time, but when buying seeds you're guarenteed great genetics. So, you might end up with some decent genes you might not, buying them is a guarentee.

I've grown bagseed weed (my last harvest) and weed from reputable seed companies. I've been successful with both, but I like to be able to tell my friends exactly what they're smoking. Most people tell you their weed is this or that, but they have no clue unless they ordered the seeds from established companies and grew it themselves. To me, it's worth the cost to accurately tell my buddies what they're smokin. They appreciate it as well!

i've gotten some bunk genetics from seed banks. the sweet tooth #3 and the big bud looked A+. the taste and high were completely bland.

bagseed is best because you have already smoked what you are growing. you know what it is. who gives a damn about a name. there are 5000 skunk strains named. it's all just skunk in the end. IMO.:peace:

True... I currently have 3 varieations of skunk... Silver Pearl x Somango (both have skunk genetics) I bought the Sensiseedbank Super Skunk... And I'm going to breed the Super Skunk with the Silver Mango, DJ short Blueberry, and a bagseed from Jamaica I've named 9Mile, because it came from Nine Mile Jamaica, where Bob Marley lived and is buried, it was grown outside Bob's masoleum...

Big Bud is really bland... So it probably was big bud.

But sweettooth is kinda short stocky and resinous, looks a lot like bubblegum... I've got some good sweet tooth, wanna hit this? :joint:

yes they all vary, but they are a lot alike as well. there are way more strains named then there are actual different strains. each seed bank has it's own blueberry. wtf is that?

it seems all it takes to pass it off as good is a name. kinda takes a lot away from the actual herb. :blsmoke:

but seriously, i could hand the top connoisseur a doobie and not tell them what it was. then let them smoke it and try to identify it. 9 times outta 10 they will get it wrong. close but wrong. :)

I understand what you're saying if weed is a means to an end - getting high! it all smokes and it all gets you high.

However, for the same reason that people like nice cigars and wine, people like to know the names of the buds they're smokin'. All wine gets you drunk, but connoisseurs must know the origins of the grapes and the conditions of growth. It's about much more than getting drunk. Drinking wine is no longer a means to an end but an end itself. We drink it for the flavor and for the genetics that certain strains of grapes exhibit. It's almost a lifestyle. That's how my friends and I smoke. We like to know origins and discuss tendencies of certain strains.

I do hold you opinion in high esteem, however. When it comes to growing and weed knowledge in general, you know more than I, so I respect you stance on the matter, but I like knowing the name of my bud! I don't think they're all the same, ya dig?
