am I doing it wrong or is this normal?

Okay guys first time growing a true sativa. She is original haze X northern lights and I nick named her mrs. Longflower. I've only had autos under my belt prior and a few indicas but this one sounded too good to pass up. She was popped on around 3/16 was in veg a while and has been flowering for a month and a half plus... but is going really slow.

I have had an auto chopped and harvested, another one that was planted a month and a half later in full flower with only a few weeks left. And an Indica mataro blue that has fat colas and resin already...

How long this gonna take? Should I prepare for a 14 week flower cycle?

hi, i was gonna say look at your hours as some sativa growers mess about with hours to get them going ie 11/13 etc, but your not having a problem switching just with the leangth of time i reckon your right 11-14 week from true flowering switch, sure looks cool though

Thanks, yeah she is going, just really slow. I have her sister is 1/3 the size of her taking just as long... I am just trying to prepare myself for the longest flower period ever...

I hope its worth it.

Dang, it only looks a couple weeks into flower. So if I read that right the plant is about 2 months old from the time it broke the dirt or popped it's shell? Got a couple weeks to veg then flipped to flower? If that is right then it looks good. Figure about 2 weeks from seed till veg growth really takes off, 4 weeks to veg, 2 weeks deep into flower. That's about 2 months already give or take. Looks kind of like what you got there. I would say 2 more months for sure. I had a sativa 5 months old from the time it popped till I cut it and it still wasn't done.

Sweet Jesus that is a long time. What have I gotten into lol.. supposed to be good for my disease so we will see if in the end she was worth it...

for a true sativa thats right 14wks. the good news is if you took clones off her they only take around 9wks. i just went through the same thing with one of mine. i was ready to pull it but when i put one of her babies into flower after 1 1/2 wks it had nice buds on it and it finished in 9wks

my first grow took 13 weeks

in all my grows so far the limiting factor for mega growth has been air, I never used ventilation. maybe some ventilation would help i do not see any. but other than that i think you're in for a long wait since it's a sativa. with no air a bigger plant gets a certain size then just STOPS because ambient co2 circulation can't keep up. let me know if I'm wrong and you have ventilation then I dunno

It's well vented by fans and me airing it out a few times daily.
