Looks like you're losing about 5" of vertical space above the filter with the ratchets & caribeeners.
Maybe use nylon web straps to secure the filter directly to the roof bar.

Train her sideways to the edges of the tent before letting her go vertical.

Nice looking plants.

I've got it hooked directly to the exhaust fan. I have ducting. Was thinking about running the ducting outside of the tent and putting the filter on an end table. I'm not one for company and it's in the spare bedroom so my setup doesn't require a whole lot of discretion.

Pulled it out last night. Unfortunately the table i wanted to put it on is also my cats' favorite window perch. So it's kind of just sitting on top of my tent now.

Idk I pretty much have a similar setup. Got the carbon filter inside the tent and the fan with ducting running out. I just slammed them to the top of the tent and to the farthest edge..I trained my plants since they were young(you should start now since flower will really stretch them) also there isnt a reason to have your filter above your lights. Plus it's better to have carbon filter>>fan>>>ducting leading outside..better smell control

I'm certainly no expert - but I thought fans are supposed to pull through the carbon, rather than push.
Again, I'm a noob trying to accelerate his learning curve.

I'm slowly converting a room into a dedicated grow area - but instead of a second 4x4 or 4x8, I'm thinking of making an adjustable panda film wall.
I could expand or contract it with my needs, and use reliable, but cheaper fans for temp control - I think an 8" or maybe 10" just sitting on the floor outside the wall would exchange plenty of air, and the larger filter should last a little longer.

if you are exhausting into the carbon filter, with it outside your tent, consider a pre-filter to prolong the lifetime of the charcoal. The sock that was on the outside will be useless when using it on the exhaust side of the fan

Don't feel so noobish. That stuff rubs off lol jk .. I have done both.. but with the same bag seed that never really gave off a stanky smell. So idk if that counts. lol I have another filter tho That I set up inside the 2x4. If shit gets real as far as smell... i really don't care. I only bought the filters to see if they actually scrub the odor. I have legit genetics growing now, so we will soon see.

First time you blow through from the inside there will likely be a cloud of black dust, the outer sock may catch a lot of it.

Another filtration option would be to use a clamp and an old tee-shirt. Cut a piece of the tee shirt that you can put over the reflector "intake" and clamp it on there so it filters the intake air before the reflector and fan.
