I have 1 (100 amp) box and 2 (200 amp) boxes at this time. The 200s are newer ge or seimens except for thst one 100amp. It's an American Pacific my electrician said. He said that the company went out of business and there known for fires. The old breakers are the cause. Now, I'm putting just one minisplit on this and that is it. Maybe a coffepot too lol. Anyways it's a 50/60amp breaker. But there $90 for the "safe" aftermarket breakers.
I should just replace the whole box myself I'm imagining. Cheaper too lol.
Anyone ever hear of this issue causing a fire?
I inspected the box and there not ideal but I imagine any fires would come from loose connections. Either on the lug or bar.
Let me know if you know anything guys.
