Amount of yield and size

Ok so im reading these posts and what im getting is that you get about 0.7g per watt of light . If i veg my plants for 5months forsay so that they grow really big and i only have a 400w HPS will i still get the same amount of yeild compared to if i only veg for 2months? Does the size of the plant matter on the yield?

wtf???......seriously dude is that ur question does the size of the plant matter about the yield ummm duh obviously the bigger the plant the more buds ur gonna get its common sense im not trying to be a punk but seriously think about it dude smaller plant less yield bigger plant more yield if all is done right and grown properly

the longer you veg the bigger the plant will be so there will be more bud sites, so yeah you would get a bigger yield if you veg for 5 months, but you can also achieve higher yields if you use methods like fim or lst or scrog...5 months is a long time to veg, if you have that long of a gameplan, you should think of starting a mother and flowering her clones, i'm not that far yet, but from what i've read that will yield more

Obviously the bigger the plant the more yield but what im saying is if i only have a 400W hps and you guys are saying you only get 0.7g per watt, why would it matter on how big the plant was if i only have a certain amount of watts? im not saying im gona veg for 5months but im just a little confused on the hole thing.. I dont know if your understanding what im asking.

there is no real formula to calculate your yield, i have seen some experts on here say basically if you know what you're doing 1000w equals 1 pound...but you need to know what you are doing the whole way if it's your first time you're not gonna get that, mistakes get made and you learn from them...how tall the plant is really doesn't determine anything, it's the bud sites that are important, you can have a really tall plant, but if it's not bushy at all you're not gonna get much, read up on lst and scrog they will help you increase your yield

lst and scrog doesnt mean ur yield will be bigger it jus means u will get harvest faster

really, cuz i was considering using them and so i researched on here, they "Claimed" it will increase your yield, sorry if i'm incorrect, but what about the mother and flowering the clones, you will get more from that right?

im pretty sure u do.......pretty much everything and anything can effect the yield of a grow u cant really predict it but normally people use clones so they can get females everytime and they know the exact genetics that they are getting and for quicker faster harvests.......look up AL B. FUCT and his post called GET A HARVEST EVERY 2 WEEKS that should help ya out al b fuct is a genius when it comes to clones and scrog

let me ask you guys a question. I want to know what would be the shortest amomnt of time you could let your plants flower before harvest? Or is it strictly based on when the pistils or resin glands start to change color. I'm asking because i want to
start from seed w/24hrs of light for 2wks, then 16on/8off for 2wks, then flower for 6wks 16off/8on, or would 12/12 be better? but is 6wks enough time?
thanks.

has to be 12/12 for flowering my friend , unless of course you are growing lowryder or similar dwarf strain. as these flower through their own timeclock regardless of light cycle. maybe they could be good for ya plans of attack,, gd luck and as for harvesting it really does get dictataed by the trichomes (crystals) wen amber and cloudy chop em :) different strains have dif flowering times but again these lowryders are ready after 9 wks from seed.

its really all about the strain dude most of the time its 6-8 weeks for flowering though but there is some that finish in 5 weeks and some that finish in about 14 weeks its really all about the strain

thnks dude if i can ever figure out how to put my pics up and let you see my big babies, they are about 2 3/4 fett to 3 ft tall been vegging for about 8 wks, and my little babies that are a little over a foot tall that have been vegging for about 4wks in smaller pots. I just want to see what type of yeild i'll getwith a months difference in veg time. so if you have any info on how to get my pics from my e-mail to here i would appreciate that, but as per the other info, thanks cause i probobly could screwed up real bad.

PEACE AND TRANQUILITY TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now let's roll some shit up, and do what it do
