An apology to the people in the politics section

I know I said I wouldn't post here anymore but I wanted to apologize to the people here who I gaslighted in previous posts. I was using this section as an outlet to not fight with friends and family about politics and I'm sorry that I had to vent my frustrations here instead.

I had time to think and I don't want to leave this world in a worse place even if it's something like arguing with people on the internet. I understand now that everyone here is a real person with feelings and what I say affects people in real life too. What triggered me to write this was hearing about child abuse hitting highs in many societies and if I'm being an asshole to someone here it might have an impact on their family life. I know if someone abuses a child they are a POS but if I gaslight them, then makes me a POS as well.

So again I am sorry for the gaslighting and being a dickhead. This will be my final post in the politics section and if anyone is ever thinking about growing organic weed, it is well worth it in the long run and better for the environment too.

To anyone that reads this, I hope you have a good day and that you should know that you are loved.

Stumbled on this on my morning RIU reads.
Not sure what your politics are, but self-reflection is always good, and I can kind of relate. I find it hard to not speak up against injustice, but when the world is full of it, and there is a visual reminder(meme) or news story on each and every one, you have to get away or be fully-consumed (if you’re like me).
RIU has become an alternative to Facebutt for me because it’s easy enough to steer clear of politics, and I can still find answers to gardening questions, or chat about random crap.
