Android Supreme's First Grow/DNA's Sour Cream/CFL

(Accidentally mis-posted this in the wrong section, now it's fixed, sorry for the "spam.")

Hey guys so this is my 2nd attempt at growing. I recently tried Big Buddha's Automatic in an outdoor organic soil grow but because of the intensity of the heat in AZ, it died shortly after sprouting. Luckily I set up a cheap CFL setup and Attitude seeds sent me a freebie of DNA's Sour Cream.

I germinated it and it is almost ready to be planted in my seedling room. The room in the pictures below is just for the first few days. I have a computer fan circulating the air in the room and two 32w CFL's about 1 foot about where the rockwool will be.

When the plant gets a bit bigger, I plan on assembling a small grow room out of a large like 21 gallon trash can. When I get that I plan on assembling it so I have 2 computer fans, one for intake and one for exhaust. Is that enough ventilation for this room? I feel like it is because it's 1 plant in a small room but I could be wrong. I also have two more 20w CFLs that I plan on installing as the plant gets a little larger. I am going to be planting it in Fox Farms Ocean forest and will start feeding her nutes in about 2 weeks.

My main concern is whether or not the ventilation in the can will be enough for one plant?

Next update when I plant the seed. Any advice or anything would be fantastic!

So this morning I saw that the seed was pretty well germinated and decided it was time to insert it into the rockwool. I put it in there this morning and came back this afternoon and was very satisfied after seeing that the root on the seed had already grown about a quarter of an inch. Not much but hey it's still quite exciting for a first timer.

I got some pics of the grow room with the rockwool in there and even one shitty one of the germinated seed. I got the fan pointed away from the plant for now just cause I just wanted basic circulation but question.

Should I have it pointed at the plant directly or what?

I also found out that my 32 gallon trash can grow room (for veg and flowering, one it actually becomes a PLANT) is the equivalent to 4.2 cubic meters or something so would this small computer fan be good as exhaust and I could just have a passive intake?

Any help would be tight. Thanks. And yes, that's a jack-o-lantern bucket.

I also just measured my grow trash can and found out it's only 28 inches tall. This is definitely too short to grow a plant in right?

I can tell you if you want to use that container you need to top your plant or LST or both. You can probably get it to work. Those are some interesting genetics, I just read about it. Sour diesel x g13 x haze sounds good to me.

yeah i was really surprised when i saw that it was two like amazing strains combined. but problem solved. I'm just gonna buy a taller trash can or possibly even just throw down the money for a grow tent.

I think you'll be happy with the grow tent investment especially if you plan on continuing to grow in the future. Ebay & Amazon have great prices on them.

Haha very strange. I was literally just looking at grow tents and for some reason decided to stop in the middle of shopping to check my thread only to find advice to get a grow tent. I was looking at this one because it's only about 75 bucks and it's pretty good size.

http://www.amazon.com/Small-Reflective-Hydroponics-Cabinet-GYO1001/dp/B00283Q59M/ref=sr_1_180?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1282335918&sr=1-180

My only concern with it is that it may be too big to fit in my closet since it's 3 feet long. I was also looking at this one

It's smaller and better for closets and it's really convenient because I have one of these stores in my city so I could pick up the tent without having to wait for it or anything. My only problem with that one though is that it may not be wide enough. Is 1.5 ft X 1.5 ft X 4 ft big enough for a primarily sativa strain? Or should I just get the taller one?

There's also this one that is seriously the ideal size.

Only problem is that it's 50 bucks more expensive. Should I definitely just pay the 135 for this perfect one?

Also I realized how dumb I was that I just had the seed in the rockwool cylinder macro plug without PLUGGING it into a rockwool cube. I noticed that the root looked like it was just going to grow out the side of the plug so I thought about it. I went to the near by nursery and they didnt have rockwool cubes for me to plug this into so I bought these little planting pots made out of like compact plant material-ish stuff, put the rockwool plug in that and filled all the empty space with a little FFOF. Should I cover the top of the rockwool plug with soil as well?

After fucking with the seed it still managed to sprout for me, how bout that. Wasn't seeing much progress with the rockwool so I just took it out of that completely and put it in soil. Wasn't seeing a result with this as well so i undug the seed to find a little sprout still underground.

I replanted the seed so the sprout was above ground and after a day of being above ground, it's good to see that the plant has gone from being kind of limp to standing up straight. The leaves were pointed to the soil when I first put it in and now here's the change.

In other news, I ordered the Secret Jardin DR60 and that should be here within the next few days. I'm also thinkin about ordering some autoflowering seeds. Thinking Afghan Kush Ryder.

I'm not going to post this frequently once the plant gets larger but I figured I'd show the change in just two days. In the first pictures of the sprout that I posted two days ago, the rounded leaf is kind of limp. Now after two days, the leaves have perked up and the stem of the plant has grown a good amount as well.

I'll move it closer now, I was thinking it was too far as well so I'm glad you said something. I'm so cautious with the watering; I'm doing the finger into the soil test until I can just get a moisture meter.

I watered the soil when I put it in and I was sprinkling a little on the plant every day. Today I did the finger test and the soil felt a little dry. I felt some moisture but not much so I watered it today so it's the first actual watering since like 3 days ago.

I currently have a 16 oz water bottle that I let sit out at all times so the chlorine will like wear down or whatever. I pour enough to get all the soil moist which I assume was about 2-3 ozs.
