Another Organic Microgrow with O.D. Green

So, just like in past grows, to keep everything simple, I am designating yesterday [Friday, 2 November 2018] “Official” Seedling Day 1, despite it being obvious that they are of slightly varying ages in seedling stage. I have them in a mixture of Roots Organics soilless medium, mostly brand new Original, but intermixed with Formula 707 and Greenfields. They are currently under 200w of Timber 2VL model COBs (Vero 29C Gen 7, 3500k/90 CRI). I have two strains from Shoreline Genetics, one strain from ACE Seeds, and one of my own creations with the help of Shoreline Genetics.

I’m probably going to hand this first Trench Foot off to a friend, because just in case that Bangi is male, I want to try to cross it to a pure Sativa. I’ve set one of the Oldtimer’s Haze backcrosses I’ve made from the Purple Haze x Malawi to soak for a day. So, it will be 2 Hybrids from Shoreline Genetics in one closet, two Sativas in the other.

Comparing the Bangi Haze to the Nepal Jam, this pheno extremely Nepali dominant. It has those really wicked sharp, dragon’s tongue-like serrations.

[(GMO x Chem ‘91) x 1980s Shoreline) x Pre-‘98 Bubba Kush]

The GMO x ‘91 Chemdog is Gypsy Cab from JJ-NYC. A GMO-dominant Gypsy Cab was crossed to 1980s Houston Cut Shoreline to create Southern Comfort by Shoreline Genetics. I then crossed this to a deeply IBL’d Pre-‘98 Bubba Kush male, the seeds of which, I received from a friend on the West Coast. The P98 is obvious in the structure and the purpling. The leaves have clear expressions of the SoCo. I am going to breed for Shoreline & GMO terpene combo, with a slight depth from the Bubba chocolate hashiness. Hopefully I can keep the purpling and maybe make her more squat than the lanky, Shoreline-influenced SoCo. The cold has been throwing off my watering schedule, hence what looks like overwatering and deficiencies. Damned season changes..

Alright, so hopefully this is the final time I have to switch shit up. Lineup for flower will be:

Bubba Kush x (Vietnam Black x Meao Thai)

I have a male GG#4 that I’m taking pollen from. Probably going to hit the SR-71 PK with it. I also have a male Trench Foot, doing the same thing.

After this run, I will be resuming my Shoreline Genetics runthrough.

If this new lineup yields no males, it should be set in stone. If not, I’ll swap Shoreline gear in its place. If not, after this run will be:

-Texas Oil Plant
-Deep State
-GMO x Chem ‘91
-Lastly probably a Lucky Charms x Sour Diesel to complete that run.

Pretty even blend of Bubba, Chem ‘91, and Shoreline, I personally think. It has the inward-curving longer, thinner finger leaves at the top reminiscent of Shoreline. The lower nodes look like straight Chem-Bubba, but it’s starting to show through.

She had a rough start due to the cold slowing down evaporation rates in my closet, but she’s coming back and has pretty much fully recovered. Note the obvious fat-tipped Afghani leaf structure. She’s probably going to turn out to be a Sour Afghani. Pretty excited for this round.

I believe, based on the broader but still slim leaves with the sharp serrations that this may, in fact, be a Highland Purple Colombian pheno. It might be early, but I can hope.

Monkey Paw (Old Michigan cut) x Orient Express #1 & #2
Pre-Seedling

This is going to be really interesting. Monkey Paw is an old school Highland Nepalese x Vietnam Black. The Orient Express is China Yunnan Indica & Vietnam Black. So it’s 1/2 Vietnam Black Sativa, 1/4 Highland Nepalese Sativa, 1/4 China Yunnan Indica. I’m going to inbreed it, and I might nickname it the “Silk Road Nomad.”

Very Afghani second set of true leaves. You can always tell the Afghani landrace, they’re either completely broad-fingered (especially the Kush) or the very tips of then fatten out into a unique shape.

By the way, one of the Monkey Paws got stuck in its shell and damped off. I planted a new one. I also started a [(Purple Haze x Malawi) x Oldtimer’s Haze (Kerala dom pheno)]. The Purple Haze backcross, Monkey Paw x Orient Express #1, Dragon Fruit and TOP are above ground; TOP, Dragon Fruit, and MPxOE out of their shells. We’ll call tomorrow Seedling Day 1 for all that are above ground. I also started another Trench Foot.
