Another shot

Hello Everyone. Some of you may recall I started a grow earlier in the year and well, it never got through to completion due to some unforeseen life occurrences that I will not elaborate on here, but just know that it sucked, but I am in a much better place in my life at the moment and am gonna make another attempt at shaking off the rust from six years. Any who without further delay I will roll right into what I am using this grow.


I will be using a 5 gallon bucket that I obtained from Home Depot
A 150CFM inline fan from Amazon ( some foreign nameless brand)
Net pot lid from local hydro store
4 in Disc air stone from amazon
Small air pump from previous setup
Water Chiller from eBay (not entirely sure made by who) to keep water temps around 19 degrees Celsius


Nutrients:

I will be using Maxi-bloom by General Hydroponics as I will be using the K.I.S.S. Method for the simplicity and to see if it is still relevant. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the K.I.S.S. Method it is just 7 grams per/gal of water the entire grow. I have read many forums with varying opinions on this method, but I believe the results speak for themselves regardless of how we feel. Anyways I will be going with this and documenting my results.

Genetics:

A freebie DeeLite Auto Fem From HomeGrown Cannabis Co. by Kyle Kushman
It is a cross between Thai X Afghani
Mostly Indica, and is supposed to be a heavy hitter as far as potency.
They were planted Dec.1st Will update when I change reservoir for the first time.

MaxiBloom is all you need. I'm actually using it myself right now for a coco run. So many add all kinds of stuff and end up with issues and crispy fried leaves. And I agree with @rkymtnman that 7 grams is too much for a seedling. My plants are in veg and I'm only using 4 grams right now.

do oyu have a link to your grow? I'd love to follow along. And only 4 grams in Veg? HMMM I might take a note out of that book.
 
I recommend covering the orange bucket with something to block the light.

Aluminum tape and reflectix bubble wrap insulation works good, but probably cheaper just to buy a new black bucket.

That and also change the clear tubing lines from the chiller over to black. At least cover it down by the lid
with electrical tape or something for the mean time.

No link. I don't do grow journals. I've been doing mostly seed runs of landraces for some time or playing with organic soil grows so nothing spectacular to follow along with anyway.

But here are a couple coco plants from a while back. I wasn't using MaxiBloom but another simple dry product pretty similar. These were being fed around 400-500 ppm / 1.0 EC. I feed on the light side. Most people could cut back on their nutrient strength significantly. I don't believe in "Pushing" plants like some do. I also never have any nutrient issues growing in coco or hydro. Overfeeding is the number 1 cause of most cannabis issues. I don't usually go much past 800 ppm / 1.6 EC throughout an entire grow as it's not needed. I don't like dead and dying leaves 3-4 weeks from harvest due to overfeeding.

800-900 ppm / 1.6-1.8 EC doing just fine and healthy leaves.

That plant looks amazing! I will definitely keep that in mind throughout this grow.
