any advice on ipower 6inch duct booster fans (for cooltube only)

I found this listing on ebay for 6" Ipower duct booster fans. It comes with 2 in a case for $45.99 with free shipping and was wondering if these would be sufficient to use to exhaust a cooltube with a 400 watt HPS? they seem to be of better quality or I would never even think to try a duct booster fan because I made that mistake in the past but I went with the cheap ones. i am already going to be using a 4 inch inline fan and carbon filter for exhaust for the grow box (which is 2.5ft(L) X 2ft(W) X 3.5ft(H) ) and was thinking about getting another 4 inch inline fan to exhaust the cooltube and use a fan speed controller because i doubt i would need all of that just to exhaust a cooltube in such a small space. Just wondering if anyone has ever had any experience with these or just check out the listing and let me know what you think. here's the link:

You'll probably only need 1. With that small of a box you don't have any room for ducting, so your light will stay in 1 spot with the booster fan on one end and maybe a short piece of duct to connect to the port on opposite side of your box. I'm guessing you planned on putting 1 at each end, but I'd say that's overkill, but if the cost isn't important, go with 2. That's a pretty short box to put a 400w hid in, I'd like to see how it goes for you.
Happy Growing.

yeh I already figured it would be overkill as well. I also found a listing for 1 6" booster fan that looks the same with all metal fan blades with the same cfm rating that was $30 free shipping so I figured I would just spend the extra $15 and use the other on my intake or something because i would feel like I was getting screwed if I bought 1 for $30 when I could get 2 for $45. I am going to be using a the Lumatek 400/250 watt dimmable ballast so I am going to test run it at 400 watts to see how it does with temps and just run it on 250 if theres any problems until I eventually upgrade to my closet and make that box a clone/veg/ mother cab. i also did not think I would have the space considering most cooltubes are in the 20-24" range until I found an ebay store that sells a cooltube that's made for 250watt hps and lower and can fit the smaller 400watt bulbs. It's like 12" long which would leave me 9 inches of space on each side of the cooltube when it is centered. So that would give me a little more space for any ducting I would need to use. and like you said my light will stay in place so i won't be using much ducting. I just figured this would do for such a small length for the air to have to travel and I really don't have the room to add another 4 inch inline fan just for that. and I would have to get a speed controller as well for the sound so I would be looking at close to $100 which i really wouldn't be able to do right now and i need it soon because Im about 3 weeks into veg under 6 23watt (100watt replacement) cfl's. But I just wanted to get some input because i have never had any experience with the booster fans. Thanks for the input though bro.

I use a that same ballast, but my cool tube is 27" long. I use my 4" inline for my cool tube and my carbon filter in my 2x4x5' tent, so you should have no problems even when useing the super lumens setting.

When I move everything to my closet in a few months im goin to get a bigger cooltube im just glad I found one so small so I can make everything fit for now. But those lumatek ballasts are bad ass I found one on hydrogalaxy.com for about $135 but I found a promo code for their site on google that was 10% off any order which dropped it down to like $121 with free shipping.
