Im not an amazing athlete or anything, but Im currently into half marathons, and other distance events. I enjoy a good smoke though, and I cant tell if its a mental factor or if it really is harder to run after a G or two.

Currently im running a 5:36 mile and plan on doing cross country and track, but i dont want to hinder my performance...

What do you guys think?

Keep on Toking!:joint:

I think your the first stoner i've ever encountered that runs for fun and not just when cops are chasing you. Not doggin though, thats pretty cool...but I would think it would be hard to run if you smoke b4 hand.

I dont run for fun but I do fun for cardio. Cant say I enjoy it but I can run 5 miles pretty easyily. I would like to see if i could do a half marathon or something big one day, just to see if i could do it.

If I light up before a run, I always seem to be able to run faster and for much longer periods of time.

I can't run anymore, I've got bad knees.
Instead I swim, I try to get at least 50 laps a week.

Tomorrow is the last day of the week and I haven't done any laps yet. It's been a busy week.
Looks like I'm gonna have to do all 50 tomorrow.

Nice, just getting into running myself.

For some strange reason I also get some sort of satisfaction from running a long distnce. I love running along hills and wooded trails the most.

I know the feeling, its very relaxing to go run distances like that and i really enjoy the scenery. Good stuff and it also keeps you healthy when your other life style choices dont lol.

I personally know multiple potheads who run avidly along with swimming,
jui jitsu and MMA, myself included. Although I don't run as much as the other guys.

after a long run i always feels sooo good.i always have positive attitude and loads of energy .got to love those good endorphines.,as for getting high before , i usually sweat that out within five minutes of hard running. so its kind of pointless in my opinion.

Ya, I would rather get high after the run.
Hell, It's something to look forward to.
Kind of like a finish line!!

I used to run cross country in high school. I used to run 10 miles without stopping. My fastest 5K was a little over 20 minutes. Not terribly fast, but not too bad. Now I can barely run from the couch to the fridge.

I use to love running in the Army but my knees are destroyed from jumping out of planes and rucking so i bike swim and lift weights now. i was at 12 min 2 miles when i got out. youre pretty fast!

I couldn't run a 5:36 mile downhill being chased by a grizzly...but I did finish a fairly tough marathon sub-4 hrs this month. If you're able to keep that pace at distance, I'd suggest sparing the lungs via cooking or vaporizing, and signing up for the next major marathon in your area! Nice work. I personally prefer trail running over the wear-and-tear road running puts on the body. I start training for a full Ironman triathlon in two months, so consumption via smoking will probably slow significantly then.
