I was just wondering if there's an electrician among us here.
Here's my problem. My wood pellet stove started sparking by the on/off buttons, now it won't turn on at all. It tripped the breaker. I flipped the breaker switch back, outlet seems to be working fine, but the stove won't turn back on.
I've called a random electrician, told him the situation, he said he would only be able to work on things such as the outlet and couldn't do anything about the stove, which is what I figured.
So I guess my only option is to call the landlord and let them deal with it.
My question is, could my grow room have anything to do with it? I'm always running about 7000-12000 watts in there. The pellet stove is on the opposite side of the house.
I'm worried the landlord will send someone here to fix the stove, and they tell her I have a grow room that could be causing the issues.

sparking = short
short = something fried
something fried = broken

broken = maybe can be fixed

you gotta open that shit up and see if you can find a crispy critter... or plug er in with everything exposed and flip the switch and see if any magic smoke comes out.

If that doesn't work you will need an ohm meter at which point based on the fact that your posting here you need to call in some help. Trouble shooting electronics is hard enough in person let alone a forum.

Are the grow and stove on the same circuit? 12000w is either 100amps or 50 depending on 110/220v. 100amp is my whole power main for my apartment lol. Anywho I doubt it has anything to do with it if they're on different circuits but that's a mighty bit of grow juice for a residential rental.

Yeah it's on a different circuit. That's exactly what I thought, that as long as there on different circuits, they shouldn't affect one another. But I really have no idea, and my dad planted the idea in my head, so I've been living in the mountains with no heat for at least a week. I think it's warmer in fridge..
I can't take it anymore. I'll call the landlord tomorrow and hopefully get this all fixed..

What kind of stove is it?
You could no doubt just order the switch assembly from amazon or ebay and replace it yourself.
Do one wire at a time and you cant go wrong.
Can't be much worse than it is now.

Y'all are giving me hope! I was planning on calling the landlord tomorrow. I'm about to go see what I can find out.

switches are usually an easy fix, unclip or un hooking something and just plug the new on in. hopefully you dont need to solder, but thats usually easy too. just lil more time/effort. but anything to keep the landlord out right?

Are you in a legal State? I almost always pay someone to come in and fix my shit without alerting the landlord. I grow at my place and I want the landlord's minions in here as infrequently as possible. I figure I'm making a lot of money on his property so fuck it, I'll just eat most expenses. Unless it was several grand or something crazy like that. 12k watts? You have a huge grow, buddy. Pics! I would think you could get some of that grow room heat into the house instead of freezing your nuts off...

I have installed and fixed many pellet stoves.not that brand but many others most will have a fuse or two on circurt board or very near can u get to the board
