Has anyone done a grow with the t5 fluorescent lights from seed or clone through to bud?
If so, any comments, grow journal links or pictures would be cool. Also if you could let me know what strain works well.

i have a couple of them i was veging with...and they are pretty nice..they cover a nice amount of area..can be close to the plants..they still do put of a bit of heat..they would work well with any strain i would imagine...ive seen pic's in high times of bud grown from start to finish with t5's and it looked pretty good to me..i think for bud it is best to go with HPS...your plants are alot larger in bud and you need to cover a larger area..plus the light from a 1000 HPS makes buds grow like crazy..and can penatrate through a 4 ft deep canopy to catch lower branch's with light..a t5 cant do that...good luck...

Thanx for the info...I read alot about dudes veggin with t5s and flowerin with hps but I dont want the heat issue to deal with. Also I am mostly after quality bud at the end of this. quantity is not important to me as I figure the better the bud the less I smoke:joint: Has anyone successfully flower with t5s alone? That is the real question.

no, not yet, but would like to know from someones experience, with pictures of what T5 2700k lights do for budding.

i use t5 6500k for start/veg and they seem to love it. and for as sleek as those t5's are they put out ALOT of light..

saw this and figured what a perfect opportunity...i am currently flowering one indica plant with 3 T5 fluorescent lights(24watts each, 6400K). This is my first grow and its been going pretty good. Only thing is recently ive noticed the lower leaves starting to get a couple black areas...not sure what they are yet. ill have some pics up soon i just joined this forum last night so i dunt know how to upload pics yet. Look forward to speaking with all you guys as ive been doing this grow by myself based on internet readings. :weed:

Oh Steath you magnificent bastard! That is what I was been wanting to see. Your baby is a bit strechy but buds are forming nicely...how close are you with the light to the top of the plant?

the 2 on the top are about 6 inches away. im going away for a couple days so i had to raise the lights a little and lowered the base level of the plant. usually they are 2-4 inches away. i also have a third light on the side.

you should get the other bulbs (3000k) warm. Your baby needs more of the red spectrum to see how the t5s are for flowering.

looks good to me for wat u r using. u will prolly get bud but it jus wont be dense and compact but i guess its up to u. even a 150w hps would make a great diffrence for flowering. Nice plant tho.

im not to sure wat that could be i havn't ran into this yet. But wat you could do is just remove those lower dead leaves cause they arent gonna produce flowers and they will jus take up energy the rest of the plant can use. I had an early fert-burn prob and my lower leaves started to die. I fixed it and then removed the dead leaves and they are lookin good

im interested in knowing if supplimenting t12 Ho with my cfl will produce better buds than just cfl.. also what is the difference in t5 and t12 they dont have them here were i live just wondering... subscribed i want to know how the harvest is with t5..

Your plant looks good too btw... mine got small and bushy as hell not sure why probly the cfl's...take a look at my grow journal.. im using 4 bulb t12 around 12000 lums in a 2x2x5 space

The t5 is about way smaller, brighter, more expencive to buy but cheaper to run and I think there is more lummens and better spectrum representation than the t12 or t8s
