Any knowledge ?

So after my failed grow previously
i wanted to start up again as soon as possible but there wasnt any soil available
so im stuck using topsoil
i germinated with paper towels
and the seedling sprouted and seems
to be doing just fine

but is there anything i should look out for
using topsoil for the time being?

Do you have some perilite in there? your roots need some air and that topsoil will pack very tight in the pot.
Other than that keep an eye on your PH.

is it store bought topsoil?? If not get your pesticides to the ready.

What caused your previous crop to fail ? Let's do some troubleshooting and find out the problems you had before so you don't repeat them.

if ya really gotta use outdoor topsoil, why don't ya sterilize it first, it'll take a bit but save you future problems, spread a buncha soil about 1" thick on a flat baking pan and put it in a pre heated oven at 400+ for min of 15 mins each batch..... that'll sterilize it for ya, then go get some perlite and mix it in the finished bulk at around 1/8 the total bulk........ you will also wanna get some good starter nuttz cause the soil will be totally sterile after cookin it, so you'll wanna add some weak furtz to it off the bat, but weak fertz mix tho.

and la9 is right, why did your last crop fail?

As suggested you really need to mix some perlite with that soil. Topsoil will end up packed and be like concrete, your roots won't grow well at all.

yes if your soil is tim realest then your probley in fo another failure. that is a good way of burning up the roots b4 they get started.

You need tofind something that says safe for seedlings right on it or you are asking for trouble as mentioned. I use Pro Mix but you have other options.
