Any Lawyers Out There(or anyone good getting around the law)

So i am wondering if i can fight a parking citation based on the fact that they got the color wrong on the ticket.

1. I never found the ticket on my car, i saw it blow out of know where, i went back and found it had my license plate number on it.

2. they marked down my car was Green (grn) but it is really Grey (gry). thats a big difference i could see if they called a navy blue car black.

3. the violation was for not having a parking permit, which i truly didn't have at the time. i had an expired one that i thought was good for summer.anyways, i bought a permit right after i found the ticket, so technical i would have that decal the day i got the citation.

4. its not a government run, i am pretty sure its a private contractor that my university hired to manage parking services.

my basic defense not perfect but all i can think of,

I found a citation on the ground with my licensed plate number, the citation contained incorrect vehicle information in regards to the licensed plate number. The citation violation stated "no decal" which i technical had that day(just later)

It would help if any one left comments, add your 2 cents and i might be able to keep my 2 cents in my pocket:mrgreen:

first remind me to never lend purrrple my car

u have two options, fight it based on the color or be mercy of the court.

usually if its your first ticket you can get out of it. just say that someone there when you bought it told you the pass you have works for summer too, but since you got the ticket you got a pass. it'll show even more like you were intending to follow the rules.

most tickets have the date AND time of offense, also your pass usually has a time on that when it was purchased....

if you were not a student you could just not pay it but you are and they will try to hold your diploma. just pay the ticket. you parked illegally. you said it yourself , they got you.
it doesnt matter what color the car is cars can get new paint jobs. they got your license plates

I lawer would likely eat that up in court. You will likely get laughed at. Heres the deal it is the officer that wrote the tikets responsablity to assure all the info on the ticket is right IE the day time date vin and of yes color of your car. And I dont mean that shit were you have car color Melot and the cop said it was red. I mean stuff like he said the car he ticketd was green and yours is white. If so you can simply take a pic of your car and show it to the judge claiming very simply. My car is a white 1998 VW jetta Not a red 1998 VW jetta and there for it was not my car.

This is why we have lawers and judges cause cops for the most part are just gloarified garbage men public servents law is law when the cop messes up its not your fault its is his and you walking off with out fine and him having to explain why he didnt know the difference between red and white is his problem

once again the color of the car does not matter he wrote down your license plate number. going to court paying court ccosts than eventually paying the ticket because you will lose is not worth it just pay the ticket and dont park illegaly . its not always the cops fault. you even admitted you didnt have the pass. its time to accept responsibility and learn from your mistake

go to the court with proof that you got the permit later that day, more than likely they'll dismiss it.

yea, well i fought it in court and simply stated that the ticket was found on the ground, i kept it because it had my license plate and sympathetically said i appealed to make sure it was my car before i paid it. the guy who wrote the citation did not show up so it was my word against non and i got is dismissed. (and i was high)

well dam, sorry im a broke ass college student, going to school full-time, working full time for just over minimum wage, and thats barely enough to pay for college alone. when i find a way to keep some money in my pocket i will. being responsible for parking illegal at my own university is bull shit i already pay them $4,000 a semester + $300-$500 in books just because all my professors write books and tell you to go out and buy it or else.
