What kind of mini split?I'm using a 5 ton mini split. I also have a 3 ton regular central air for my other room which I like better(way more air movement). I really think it depends on your space and lay out. Mini splits are great if you don't have room for ducting or an air-handler. If your just replacing an old central ac system the regular central air units work perfect and probably be cheaper.
It's a "Fujitsu", but I'm not sure of the model #.What kind of mini split?
Did you buy it in Canada? Where?
Did you install it yourself?
JapanIt's a "Fujitsu", but I'm not sure of the model #.
I did buy it here in Canada(Regina to be more specific). Not sure where the hvac guy who installed it bought it from.
Japan is obviously where it was made yes lol. He personally didn't buy from Japan lol.Japan
How was it gb? would it be tough to do from someone with no or little experience in this area?
If your grow is legal and the warranty doesn't exclude grow room use and/or commercial use, you may have grounds to sue for breach of contract.I also want to add don't get a "York" a/c system, worst customer service ever!!. A few months after getting my 3ton "York" installed it broke down and I was rejected warranty work because "I was using it for a grow room", even though that's what i purchased and had them install it for. Cost me a grand....I will never purchase another product from them again.
Central air requires a furnace correct? I don't know much about them. Is the 5ton loudI'm using a 5 ton mini split. The grow was/is legal. Yeah I know, you're right, I should of sue'd but didn't.If your grow is legal and the warranty doesn't exclude grow room use and/or commercial use, you may have grounds to sue for breach of contract.
Well not a furnace but an "air handler" unit that is near the size of a furnace(or at least mine is). Mine is mounted to my ceiling just outside the grow room so although it is out of the way some may still not have room for it.Central air requires a furnace correct? I don't know much about them. I paid more than that for my 5-ton mini-split after install and etc.. You're right it is too much but in my case was worth it. Year round indoor growing instead of half the year can pay for itself pretty fast.So they work good then. I have a chum who uses the excel air stealth, it's a really nice unit but$$$$$$ ten grand is too much.
you'd need an HVAC guy to connect it. You could do the installation and electrical. How was it gb? would it be tough to do from someone with no or little experience in this area?

You would need a bit of construction knowledge depending on the install.
