I've got a Samsung surround sound system hooked up to my pc, and it sounds great but it doesnt let you make the sub much louder, i know about equalizers, but wondering if there's anything else i can do?

ps: i got a cord coming from my headphone jack on the comp, so does that take away any quality? thanks guys.

maybe a different sound card? PC speakers I've had have a seperate subwoofer volume control. I've never needed to crank it tho, I don't like overpowering boom boom bass....just natural sounding lows with a little punch

what do you mean cord coming from head phone jack....thats how it is hooked up?

Does the unit itself have a digital audio in? or a 5.1 set up? if it does, and your pc doesn't have a sound card with these options as outs, you need to upgrade the sound card.

well to be honest i don't really know, but im sure my computer doesn't have a good sound card cause its just a laptop...i just have the cord coming from my headphone jack into the aux port on my system. the system is rather new, im pretty sure its 5.1, two front right and left, 2 back right and left, center, and the sub.

but actually, maybe the sound card is up to standards? because i've done one of those speaker tests, and all speakers played the sounds accordingly.
