any US truckers on here?

hey,

since watching the video of Metallica's Turn the page, ive been fascinated of a truckers life.

the lyrics in the song mention a high way east of Omaha. is this a famous trucker route? i tried to google map it and i could see some of the roads and 18 wheelers.

im quite interested in trucker stories and the shit that u guys get up to and see. the life you lead is completely different from mine - maybe thats why im mezmerised by this whole thing.

do you guys really carry shotguns an pick up whores at every stop an shit?

no its not,lol.

its about that woman and her life but there are truckers in it. kind of looks like a trucker route with diners and motels all over the route etc

Look up the main cross-country routes. Highways 80 and 10 are the main east-west thoroughfares, I think 50 is a pretty significant stretch of road, too. 5 is the west coast north-south artery. Maybe you'll find something that way.

i personly like it better bob seger's way.....but both do the song justice.

My father is a trucker and I was always goin on the road with him. I'm sure alot of truckers pick up whores (Being by themself on the road for weeks at a time) and alot of truckers carry shotguns, but that's only the ones that own there trucks. Most of the rigs on the road are corporate owned. If they own the truck then yeah, they will because they are responsible for whatever they are hauling. However, if it's not there truck if they get robbed then it's not there problem.
