any way to effectively clean a bong thats not ust alcohol and salt?

i have an 18" stemless piece with a built in diffuser cap that looks like an upside down tree perc at the bottom, and then a 5 arm tree perc in the center. i ran out of alcohol and let this thing get pretty nasty. finally i bought some alcohol and continued to use it with salt and shake my girl back and forth and it worked, but just not good enough. Theres still a layer of filth on this thing and i dont have a fuckin hour to shake this thing and wait.

does anyone know anything else that might work better? everything i read just says "alcohol n salt will take it off in less than 5 minutes" but this thing is way dirtier than that....

To be honest that is the best way to clean glass. I wouldn't recommend another way.
