anybody use Phillips advance drivers?

I am considering a Phillips driver, I saw a few with low drive current (.35a) and rather large output voltage (120-400).....for $40.00 that sounds like a deal... Just looking for some feedback from someone who has experience with them...I have a hand full of cxa3050's (12 or 13 I think) that I've been sitting on...was thinking bout using this driver...

I know it will work, but am Just wondering why I have never heard of anybody rocking any of these...I have never found any meanwells with that much forward voltage for so cheap....40$ for 150 watts and 120-400 fv... just hoping to hear some reviews from ppl that have used them...

Costs the same as a Meanwell driver per watt and they are only ~90% efficient. Less efficient than Meanwell for the same price.... So where is the savings? No need to change if there is no savings.

Also, if you want high voltage low current, the HLG-185-500a does just that. Not sure why you think Meanwell does not have an offering like that.

There is 12.50 $ difference...and if he can source it localy he will save huge shipping cost!
Hlg is not so expensive if you buy everything with...but it is about 65 $ with shipping cost...so 25 $ difference
And for 4% efficiency less it is not so bad...it is not a huge difference on electricity bill at the end of the year...25 $ if it is 10cts kw/h I guess!

There is a $12.50 difference, but there is also a 50 watt difference. The driver he is talking about is 150w while Meanwell are 200w. Price per watt is the same. And while the efficiency isnt a huge loss, why lose at all at the same price? Plus, Meanwell have proven to be great drivers for all of us.

Price per watt is 1 cent more on the MW LPC-100-350 than the Phillips. It is cheaper, but its also 50w less output. Not sure why everyone is skipping over that crucial detail :) Still, MW is a better option IMO than the Phillips.

Those phillips drivers are often PWM dimming compatible too....Just for that reason alone, I might thing about these over the LPC's from Meanwell.....I think they would make a good veg light because of the 350mA output...but they can be sourced on Ebay for $25 shipped all day long, sometimes even can be had for $20.....
