trying to source bit's n bobs and wondering if anyone has any advice on what stuff to get i'm thinking humbucker pickup

no idea what i should use for the board though? are types of wood better for sound?

anything thats hollow man, go hit the flea market.. anything that has a flat surface and youll be able to make pretty nice with that pick up. if you look around theres a lot of people making banjo's and stuff out of old gas cans on youtube, looks really good.. worth checking out
 
thats awesome... but yeah low E would work.. but maybe even a bass string would do well
 
thanks man, i'm gonna play around with it a bit when i get the bits n bobs, almost forgot to get the jack input socket.

I've got a brass tube to slide. any other cool things make good noise?

my neighbours are gonna love me!

I'll post up as I go. i've been looking at cedar for the fret. hope it all comes by the weekend. :razz:
