anyone go without wiping down bulb?

I hardly ever wipe down my 1000 watt HPS bulb with a dry cloth, for dust or whatever because the way my room i ssituated i cannot get to it without moving like 25 mature plants I like maybe wiped it down once in 3 months, is this a problem? just curious if anyone else goes without wipeing down bulb.
i know this is a stupid question, but just been in the back of my head for awhile now and wanted to know if this is cool to go without doing, i mean i can`t tell any diffence or anything.

I stay on the cautious side and don't mess with the bulb. Any grease that gets on it from handling can cause it to explode when its on and hot.

hand grease will NOT make a bulb explode. it's not special glass. it's JUST A BULB.

finger prints may stain the glass once it gets hot though. i clean mine with glass cleaner occasionally.
