on both?? oh crap, i was looking foward to buying some seeds for a rainbow grow room
i know fruit loops and skittlez have multi coloured budz,

The second pic looks like a pretty normal ripening color fade. The first one looks totally photoshopped burnt leaves.

Do the actual buds turn color? Rarely... Purple / lavender calyxes can happen with some strains. Most purple strains I have smoked were lacking in potency.

Back in the early 90's when I was a beginner grower I ran a bag seed (thats all you could get back then lol). It had mega indica structure, overlapping wide leaflets. During the later part of flower it started to get some purps, lots on the sugar leaves and lavender calyxes, and it had big fat orange hairs. It looked really awesome. I was so excited anticipating the smoke. I waited patiently for it to dry properly and one night when a buddy came over I was like, oh shit, I bet thats dry now. Harvested the dried flowers smelled like fruity gasoline. We smoked several bong rips and it had a strong head rush but the buzz only lasted like 10 - 15 minutes and you had to smoke more. Needless to say I was disappointed.
