Anyone have any idea what this is growing in my brain ?

This is what i found popped up seemingly over night. now i have a problem with my brain solution being merky? all the time. i have thoroughly disinfected everything (heaters, pumps, hoses, new air stone) but i still seem to be having this problem. I have spoken to many people around the country and people have heard about it or occasionally seen it but noone seems to know what it is. it has 2 parts a thick 2-3mm toughish/rubberish skin and under that is a slimey gooey smelly similar colored goop with darker areas within it.

can any one help me please ?

Sounds like light getting in. It's normal for this algae to build up if light is presented

will it have any effect on the plants ?

no dude, but clean it off as it will build up and block water flow etc

I think that might be a little more serious than "just clean it off and dont worry about it."

im cleaning with 50l water, 1l ammonia and 2l bleach every second day.
and i am worried about it......
