Anyone have the answer?

I see all these different types of plants. The ones that are like 2 feet tall with mostly 1 big bud on it. Then there is a 7 footer that has a bunch of big buds on it.


well my question is how the hell do you get it to be one big bud. instead of a huge plant.....


if you dont understand ill post some pics of what i mean.

Its called "lolly popping" and if you search around the web you can find a more detailed description on how to do it but basically you trim off all the side branches. what i do...because i dont like a lot of little buds to trim...is after the second or 3rd week into veg i start to trim off from the bottom up a few side branches if they are very close to the bottom of the pot and then all the side branches of the side branches (sorry dont know the technical term lol) i always leave all the fan leaves on though as i understand that to be very important. i try not to trim to much at one time. ive read never trim more then a 3rd of your plant at a time but i never even do that much. i also never trip after the 2nd week or so of 12/12. the result is a larger main cola and larger colas of the top of the branches. i get some good sized buds off the main stem a little below the main cola sometimes as well. this may stunt the grow due to a little healing i think but its my prefered method.
