Anyone know how to build a vac to make shatter?

Does anyone know a way to make a decent shatter device?

That is a great setup but a bit complex for a beginner shatter maker.
I'm assuming you fill it with herb and butane, apply low heat and the vaccume sucks everything out of the bud.
Then when the valve is opened the liquid is forced through the screen.
However the plastic used in that diagram can be hard to come by.

Does anyone have an example of one they've built themselves?
Preferably out of easy to find items.
Also, is this the only type of pump that can be used?

Ummmmm, I did build that myself and picked up the plastic as scrap at the local plastic store/manufacturer. Did you check there?

If my build is too complex for you, may I suggest that you simply buy an inexpensive unit from Best Value Vacuum?

As for the pump, the single stage that I used is really not suitable for cold boiling alcohol, but works fine for final purging BHO, as long as you pay attention to oil levels and regular changes.

If you want to cold boil, you need a chemical duty pump, such as the Welch 2052, which as you will note is not cheap.

As for the process, are we on the same page? I posted a vacuum chamber, which is not used for the extraction itself. Are you looking for an extractor or a vacuum chamber?
